featuring WONG SIAO ERN

Wong Siao Ern is a Jazz and Contemporary pianist from Melaka. She has performed in the International Music Colloquium (2012) and National Music Youth Camp (2011), both held in UPM. Currently, she is pursuing her degree in Music Performance. She is influenced and
inspired by traditional as well as experimental and ethnic fusion Jazz.

Jazz Night is a night of elegantly placed piano notes, anchored by deep bass, and swung by a groovy set of drums. A smooth voice floating in the air like mist in the morning. Join in the groove! It doesn’t matter if you like your jazz funky, in swing, or just in a smooth cup of ballad, you’ll have a great time at Jazz Night.

Here is our newest event! We are organizing Jazz Piano Improvisation Workshop to provide learning opportunities for the young ones who are interested in Jazz and its art - improvisation!

Workshop is conducted by:

WONG SIAO ERN

She is a Jazz and Contemporary Pianist. She is learning Jazz from Dr. Chan Cheong Jan, Senior Lecturer of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and Mr. Tay Cher Siang, a prominent Jazz pianist in Malaysia. She has performed in the International Music Colloquium (2012) and National Youth Music Camp (2011), both held in UPM. She is currently pursuing her degree in Music Performance in UPM. Siao Ern believes beautiful things can be happened when people are empowered to discover the joy and freedom in playing music.
